The Deddington Arms Hotel overlooks the beautiful market–square of Deddington, a medieval village lying between Oxford and Banbury at the gateway to the Cotswolds. Once a coaching inn, the hotel has offered a warm welcome to travellers since the 16th century. The hotel has a superb restaurant with air conditioning, warm welcoming bars with log fires, and twenty seven en–suite bedrooms. The Hotel is perfectly located for visits to many beautiful and interesting places locally, making it an ideal place to stay for a long weekend or a longer break in the country.

The twenty seven bedrooms are all individually designed and include four poster beds (one of which is situated in the original old Court Room of Deddington – where the scoundrels got their comeuppance!). All rooms are spacious twin, double or family rooms with full en-suite facilities. All executive rooms, have King Sized beds and trouser presses.

The recently refurbished Deddington Arms Restaurant enjoys an outstanding reputation for serving innovative fresh food in a friendly atmosphere with a warm and candlelit ambience. The À La Carte menu is designed to appeal to lovers of fresh food cooked simply but with subtle variations in tastes and textures, complemented by light sauces. Fresh fish dishes and vegetarian options are always available, and the wine list features fine quality and value wines from around the world.

Deddington is a village steeped in history dating back to an early settlement in the 6th or 7th century. Soon after the Norman Conquest Deddington castle was commissioned by Bishop Odo of Bayeaux (half brother to King William I). The vallum and earthworks of this castle can still be seen today at the castle grounds. In the 17th century during the civil war after The Battle of Cropredy which the Royalists just about won, King Charles I stayed at the Castle House and Piers Gaveston was imprisoned there. Today Deddington is the only parish in all England to be granted its own Coat of Arms (1994), and this can be seen on the wall of the Town Hall in the centre of the market place.

The area around Deddington has a wealth of recreational locations and many places of local interest. Typically, Blenheim Palace, Bicester Shopping Village, Broughton Castle, Cotswold Wildlife Park, Deddington Farmers Market, Oxford Botanic Gardens, Oxford Colleges, Oxford Story, Rye Hill Golf Course, Silverstone Motor Racing Circuit, Stratford-upon-Avon and Warwick Castle.

Availability: Available all year round, excluding Silverstone events and Easter and Bank Holidays.
