Set in four acres of rolling Herefordshire parkland, the Pilgrim is the perfect place to escape and unwind in peaceful, friendly surroundings. The hotel has been extensively refurbished since being bought by former Gloucester and British Lion rugby player, Steve Boyle and his wife Theresa some six years ago.
A beautiful conservatory extension and a terraced decking area have recently been added, to capture the wonderful views at the rear of the hotel. Executive rooms have been created with king sized beds and Freeview TV, while many rooms now have free wi-fi.
The Pilgrim are also are delighted to announce the arrival of Deepak Kumar to their exciting kitchen team, headed up by the massively experienced Romeo Popescu. Deepak has worked in some of the busiest kitchens in Dubai and brings with him excellent skills and some mouth wateringly authentic Asian dishes to complement the already diverse menu at the hotel’s Valley Restaurant.
Where possible local produce is used such as delicious Herefordshire Beef, Welsh Lamb, local fruit & vegetables and locally made cheeses. The Valley also serves a wide variety of Herefordshire Beers and Ciders with which to wash down the culinary creations. The team are happy to cater for special diets with advance notice and always have a variety of vegetarian dishes
There are a huge number of activities on offer at the hotel and in the local area, such as sightseeing, walking, fishing, golf, cider making, birds of prey, Black and White villages to name but a few. Ross on Wye, Hereford, Symonds Yat & Monmouth are all within 15 minutes drive and Hay on Wye is just twenty miles away.
