The Atlantic View Hotel, is a lovely Victorian Country House built around 1850 for the Earl of Wharncliffe to be used as a country residence. The Hotel is situated in an elevated position 300 yards from the rugged coastline, amid The National Trust Land a designated area of outstanding natural beauty.

From the hotel you can walk along the dramatic coastal path overlooking Port Isaac Bay and Gull Rock to Trebarwith Strand Beach which at low tide has a large area of golden sandy beach and rock pools. In the other direction you can walk to Tintagel past St Materiana's Church (The Oldest Church in Cornwall) and the ruins of the legendary King Arthur's Castle arriving at Bossiney the scene of a famous ship wreck in 1893. The Iota's cabin boy who perished is buried in the church yard and has his grave marked with a life belt from the ship.

Along with the thirteen tastefully decorated bedrooms The Atlantic View also boasts two sun lounges a residents lounge, games room and a well stocked fully licensed bar. There is an acre of grounds mainly laid to lawn and sun patios, adequate car parking, finally there is the heated indoor swimming pool, for those days when the sea’s a little too chilly for a dip. The restaurant offers a wide choice of good English dishes and continental cuisine from a daily changing table d’hôte five course menu which is sure to satisfy any palate.

Atlantic View is your spring board to see all that Cornwall has to offer, the coastal and moorland walks. National Trust properties and gardens, golf, horse riding, lazy days on the beach, sea fishing and much more.

Springtime in Cornwall is usually both colourful and warm, the wild flowers that adorn the hedgerows and coastal paths, and in the many stately homes and gardens in the area, are encouraged to make an early appearance by Cornwall's mild climate. The roads are relatively quiet when the children are at school, making access around the county easy.
