The New Inn Hotel has provided accommodation for the traveller since 1776 and has been carefully refurbished with a fine blend of old and new to retain the characteristics of this eighteenth century coaching inn where you will experience a warm and friendly welcome.
Set in the magnificent Yorkshire Dales National Park with its dramatic peaks, delightful dales, rivers, waterfalls and caves and situated in the centre of the charming village of Clapham. Over thousands of years water erosion through the limestone has formed many amazing sights, such as Ingleborough Cave, which is festooned with stalactites and stalagmites, or Gaping Ghyll the most dramatic of North Yorkshire's pot holes where water hurtles down in a single jet over 365ft to the floor.
Accommodation is well presented and offers the highest levels of comfort and amenities. All of the hotel’s bedrooms have full central heating, their own bathrooms, colour televisions, telephones, hair dryers, tea and coffee trays and ample writing space - all designed to make your stay "home from home". Excellent facilities are provided with a Residents' Lounge situated on the first floor, first class restaurant and two bars.
When it comes to dining, The New Inn’s Head chef Andrew Whaley uses local produce wherever possible to create meals as spectacular as the local scenery. Milk and cream is from the cows seen in the fields of Clapham processed at the dairy down "The Green" delivered daily, whilst eggs are sourced from Keasden and Game is purchased from local gamekeepers when available.
