The three star rated Best Western Bank House Hotel, Golf and Country Club was built at the time of Charles I, in about 1630 and is a Grade II listed building that sits delightfully in 123 acres of countryside which includes its own 18 hole golf course.
As well as the hotel’s panoramic views over the Malvern Hills there are an array of more energetic facilities, such as the wonderful leisure club with full gym facilities and a sauna. To complement the gym is the 18 hole golf course – the closest thing to Sawgrass to be found in England. The Bransford Golf course offers golfers, meandering fairways, 14 ominous lakes and lush greens. Maybe you want to play for pleasure or perhaps you’re entertaining clients. Either way, we all know a day on the golf course provides the perfect release from the pressures of everyday life.
For those less inclined to spending half the day in a bunker, the hotel is only three miles from Worcester town centre, famous for its Worcester Porcelain and boasting such delightful distractions as Worcester Cathedral and Cheltenham Race Course. Why not then spend your evenings wandering the corridors of the hotel in search of Mrs Walker, the resident ghost? We’re reliably informed that she’s harmless!
