This beautiful listed Tudor Hotel & Restaurant resides within the graceful rolling hills and breathtaking beaches of the South Hams & Devonshire countryside. The house, set in acres of historic gardens and woodlands possesses a tranquil magnifcence that has been graced by Royal, nautical and military dignitaries for centuries. With its refined elegance, dramatic past and awe-inspiring location, Langdon Court is undoubtedly the perfect venue for all occasions.

Langdon Court is set within ten acres of mature gardens and woodlands. The traditional, naturally majestic grounds and the English Renaissance garden illustrate and celebrate layers of an incredible past. Designed on three levels, the walled garden c. 1705 is features the remains of a former hothouse, an aviary and a centerpiece fountain. The gardens are nurtured lovingly by Graham Titchmarsh, cousin to the famous British Gardener and television personality Alan Titchmarsh, the garden produces fresh vegetables and herbs that are used daily in the Restaurant and Bistro Bar.

The grounds are registered with the English Heritage and visitors are most welcome to enjoy and explore them all year round. Whether staying at the hotel for a week or just an overnight stay, there is nothing more delightful than a gentle garden stroll with a glass of wine in hand.

Accommodation here is presented in sixteen beautiful en-suite rooms, each room being individually designed and meticulously planned combining the best of contemporary and classic chic.  With stylish soft furnishings and fresh flowers all rooms are warm and welcoming. Every bedroom has broadband wired connection and most rooms offer spectacular views overlooking the beautiful surrounding countryside and majestic gardens.

Langdon Court Hotel and Restaurant provides two beautiful areas in which to dine for breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea or an exquisite evening meal. The restaurant boasts an incredible reputation for inventive, delicious flavoursome food, a refined yet relaxed ambience and flawless attentive service. There is a timeless elegance, and charm with antique furnishings scattered throughout, enhanced with stylish contemporary overtones.  Guests often travel impressive journeys to enjoy the sumptuous food and soak up the atmosphere.

All dishes are made using only the freshest local seafood, organically reared meat & game, with fresh fruit and vegetables in their seasonal prime, being drawn from the traditional garden.  

Head Chef Carl Smith produces the dishes in the recently modernised state of the art kitchen and prepares sumptuous traditional, contemporary and vegetarian options. In addition a mouth-watering range of desserts and cheeses are offered to complete any meal perfectly, accompanied by meticulously selected worldwide wines.

Alongside the Restaurant is the Bistro Bar, situated separately, which urges you to unwind with pre-dinner drinks, after dinner drinks or simply for lunch or afternoon tea.  Large bay windows frame the spectacular views of Wembury's tumbling hills and the majestic gardens.  Scented flowers aromatise, a huge fire roars in cooler seasons and guests enjoy a range of sumptuous dishes and refreshments on offer daily.

Langdon Court Hotel is only 15-20 minutes drive from the city centre of Plymouth nestled in beautiful countryside. The City of Plymouth offers a range of cultural and leisure activities the Pilgrim Fathers left here for the New World on the Mayflower, see the famous statue of Sir Francis Drake on Plymouth Hoe, take in the view of Plymouth Sound and Drake's Island and visit the historic Barbican.

Walk the South Devon Coastal Paths: Langdon Court Hotel offers access via a path from the hotel to the beach at Wembury from there you can walk the National Trust coastal footpaths.

Visit Dartmoor, only 20 - 30 minutes drive away. This offers many places to visit in and around the moor, some of the most memorable include the ancient stannary town of Tavistock, Buckfast Abbey, Dartmeet, Lydford Gorge, Postbridge, and Becky Falls.
