Nestled in the beautiful countryside of Cheshire, beneath the outcrop of Beeston Castle, The Wild Boar Hotel, a quite magnificent Tudor style country house, occupies what is undoubtedly one of the finest sites in the Northwest of England. This dramatic half timbered former 19th Century hunting lodge with it’s landscaped gardens and sweeping manicured lawns, offers superb views of the Cheshire plains and yet is less than twenty minutes from the historic city of Chester, and just a further twenty minute drive from Liverpool and Manchester.
Accommodation is offered in thirty-seven individually designed bedrooms, many graced with superb views over the Cheshire plains. All are fully en-suite with all the comforts and amenities one would expect from a hotel of this calibre, including digital television, direct dial telephone, trouser press, hairdryer and tea and coffee making facilities, a proportion of rooms also offer Wi Fi access. For your extra convenience, attentive room service is also available. For guests who may have difficulty with stairs a range of rooms are available on the ground floor.
Dining here is sublime and offered in two delightful options; The Brasserie @ the Wild Boar has been skillfully refurbished to the highest standards of contemporary design which fully complements the outstanding menu. Created using only the finest local produce, diners here are treated to a mouthwatering collection of classic British and European dishes with an enviable selection of exclusive wines, something to suit all tastes and perfect for any occasion. For a more relaxed atmosphere and for those with a more substantial appetite, the Stables steakhouse menu is full of traditional British favourites, large portions and strong flavours.
Afternoon tea is available from Monday to Saturday, and includes a selection of homemade sandwiches, biscuits and cakes, with a variety of teas.

The Wild Boar is the ideal base for exploring the wonders of the historic city of Chester which hosts such attractions as the Roman Amphitheatre, a quite magnificent Cathedral and the famous Chester racecourse. Being perfectly situated for enjoying the surrounding Cheshire countryside, the list of attractions and leisure activities are too numerous to mention, but Chester Zoo, and Tatton Park are most definitely worthy of inclusion to your list.
