The Legacy Three Swans Hotel is a delightful traditional and historic coaching inn, which, while it has been altered over the years to reflect changing tastes, still retains the original archway through which carriages once entered the courtyard.

Situated in the beautiful Kennet Valley, the hotel is ideally located for exploration of an area of unspoilt natural rural charm, steeped in history and myth, with bustling market towns, beautiful country homes and ancient landmark symbols such as the White Horse, Silbury Hill and Avebury Stone Circle.

Just three miles from the M4 (J14) and with excellent rail links, the town of Hungerford boasts a famous and extraordinary range of antique shops, courtyards and arcades. Newbury, home to the famous racecourse is only eight miles away.

The keywords at the Three Swans are service and guest satisfaction so you can be assured of all the home comforts a discerning guest expects and deserves. Equally the hotel recognises that sometimes guests may need to work in their room and so provide broadband Internet access and a desk.

All of the twenty five en-suite bedrooms offer: Flat screen LCD TV, Broadband internet access, tea & coffee making facilities, hair dryers, complimentary mineral water, room service and complimentary car parking.

The restaurant offers sensibly priced modern British cuisine, sometimes traditional but more often than not with an interesting twist. There is a strong emphasis on local seasonal produce, so you will see the menus changing with the seasons to take advantage of as much local produce as possible. Look out for our seasonal desserts like rhubarb crumble and summer pudding.

A Bar Menu is available in the Town Bar and the Atrium Lounge, with the À La Carte Menu served in the restaurant. There is also an outside terrace where you can enjoy your meal amidst our beautiful flowers in the sunshine.

The area around Hungerford is steeped in history. Within a short distance of the hotel lies the giant White Horse of Uffington, cut into the chalk hillside, and Dragon Hill where George is said to have slain the dragon. Nearby Uffington Castle is an Iron Age fort dating from 500BC. Avebury, Silbury Hill and Stonehenge is also an easy drive away.

A rich heritage of country houses and gardens abounds locally including Highclere Castle bearing a resemblance to the Houses of Parliament, both being designed by Sir Charles Barry. The Kennet and Avon Canal runs through the town centre close to the hotel. The delightful towpath runs all the way from London to Bristol, and is open to walkers and cyclists.
