The Bridge of Tile Hotel is a former hunting lodge which borders the salmon-rich waters of the River Tilt and the pretty village of Blair Atholl. Here you can be sure of a warm Highland welcome from the General Manager and staff, together with friendly service and comfortable en suite accommodation. And when it comes to food you will not be disappointed. Start each day with a hearty Scottish breakfast, and in the evening look forward to a mouth-watering three-course dinner guaranteed to satisfy the healthiest of Highlands appetites.

The hotel features a lovely bar lounge with open fire, a spacious dining room and dance floor where entertainment is regularly featured. Meanwhile, in a converted mill in the hotel grounds, the Roundhouse pub is popular with both visitors and locals alike.

All twenty-eight bedrooms are en suite and feature colour TV, telephone and tea and coffee making facilities. Although there is no lift, ground floor bedrooms are available on request.

Although Blair Atholl is a typical, quiet, highland village, its famous castle is among the most celebrated in Scotland. Dating back to 1269, Blair Castle has been the home of the Atholl family for over 700 years and welcomed many famous guests - including Queen Victoria in 1844. Nowadays visitors can wander through some 30 rooms furnished with an infinite variety of beautiful furniture, china, paintings, arms and armour tracing a fascinating picture of Scottish life over the centuries.

Within the village there's also a working water mill where it is possible to sample the bread made on the premises, and a small Folk Museum displaying a variety of local artefacts. Driving out of the village reveals an almost endless list of places to visit and things to see. There's breathtaking Queen's View at Loch Tummel, Pitlochry with its famous salmon ladder, and the 'alpine' village of Braemar. Then of course there's Fort William, Inverness, and mysterious Loch Ness too. Also within driving distance is Scotland's capital city, Edinburgh, where both the ancient castle and the Royal Yacht Britannia are open to the public.

If you love the great outdoors, you'll love this magical part of Scotland. From fishing to shooting, hill walking to rock climbing, there really is something for everyone. And no stay in the Highlands would be complete without a visit to a whisky distillery - and in fact the smallest distillery in Scotland is just a short drive from the Bridge of Tilt Hotel. Here you can witness traditional methods of whisky making, and sample a wee dram too!
