The Greyhound Coaching Inn and Hotel is a charming and traditional Grade two listed, 18th Century coaching inn located in the south Leicestershire town of Lutterworth. A family-owned hotel, this historical property has been most carefully and sympathetically restored by Robert Eggleston to provide an easy-going charm and welcoming atmosphere. The Greyhound is the only coaching inn still dedicated to its original purpose - that of providing genuine hospitality to both the local dwellers and the weary traveller!

Accommodation here is presented in thirty-four en-suite bedrooms that have been individually decorated to a very high specification and each offers its own charm and individuality blended with contemporary technology. As the hotel dates back to c.1720 the bedrooms are often very different in character, the only common denominator being the high levels of amenities and in room facilities. All rooms are well equipped with; Satellite TV, trouser press, hair dryer, clock radio, tea and coffee making facilities, FREE broadband access and direct dial telephones. For less abled guests, the hotel has six ground floor bedrooms available.

When it is time to dine, for dinner or lunch, there is plenty of choice to suit every taste. The hotel chefs have a reputation for providing superb cuisine and offer diners a comprehensive a la carte menu or a set menu both complemented by an extensive wine list. The Chefs, Steve Dennis and Will Smith are both highly qualified and must enjoy what they are doing as they have a combined twenty years of service at The Greyhound. Guests can choose to enjoy any of three options:

The Restaurant - The Restaurant seats up to seventy guests and offers a regular changing menu as well as a Sunday Carvery.

The Vaults - The Vaults is an Italian Bistro located in the converted cellar of The Greyhound and the ideal choice for an intimate candle-lit dinner or for a private party.

The Lounge Bar - for informal dining and bar snacks, the Lounge Bar offers the same comprehensive choice as the Restaurant.

Leisure and recreational opportunities are plentiful here with many places of interest and beauty nearby, all within easy reach when traveling by car. These include: Coventry Cathedral,Warwick Castle, Coombe Abbey, Stratford Upon Avon, Foxton Locks, Belvoir Castle and Bosworth Battlefield.

For those more action orientated there is scuba diving at Stoney Cove, test driving at Bruntingthorpe Prooving Ground and two golf courses within 3 miles of The Greyhound.

There are also many sporting activities available in the local area including a well equipped leisure and sports centre in Lutterworth just a few minutes from the hotel. Lutterworth Sports Centre has a swimming pool and well-equipped gym together with a sports hall for badminton and other sports.
