This 16th Century Coaching Inn.is the ideal base for country leisure activities including bird watching, fishing, and horse riding, and is perfectly situated for walking the Pembrokeshire coastal paths. Special arrangements can be made for Salutation guests at the golf course in Newport - a course that benefits from the most stunning sea views to be found anywhere.
Accommodation is presented in a selection of recently refurbished, fully en suite bedrooms that are clean, warm and extremely comfortable. All rooms are conveniently situated on the ground floor, are centrally heated and offer a host of modern amenities including; flat screen TVs with ten channels, tea and coffee making facilities, telephones and hair driers. Your hosts, John & Gwawr Denley aim to make your stay enjoyable and memorable and offer the highest levels of service from their attentive staff.
The old part of the Inn blends sympathetically with the modern and well equipped bedrooms and pre and post dinner drinks can be enjoyed in one of the inn’s two bars, oak-beamed and full of old country atmosphere.
When it is time to dine, you will be treated to an excellent menus of mouth-watering dishes all carefully created with the emphasis on the use of fresh local produce including meat & poultry, fish, cheese, and fruit and vegetables. To the best of the chef’s knowledge, all food cooked and supplied is of G.M. free nature.
The emphasis at The Salutation Inn is on relaxation; enjoy the country air and delightful gardens, charmingly tucked away in a beautiful Pembrokeshire valley. Sit beneath the trees on the riverbank at the bottom of the garden, or enjoy a walk in the nearby woods. When it is time to venture a little further afield, the coast is just down the road, with its beautiful beaches and rugged cliffs.
