Set in Dingwall in a most imposing position, with highland views spread out like an open atlas, the Tulloch Castle Hotel is the perfect base to explore the enchanting Black Isle to the east and the stunning contrasts and unforgettable deep glens and rugged coastlines of the west highlands.

Tulloch Castle dates from the 12th Century, when first the Bains and later the Clan Davidson laid claim to its lands. Like its lively history, the Castle's fortunes have changed many times. Now, it is once again a magnificent fortress, with a ready welcome for travellers.

On arrival, you will be met with Tulloch’s countless period features including the 250-year old panelled Great Hall. As you enter the magnificent hallways you will pass by painstakingly restored original fireplaces and ceilings and you will begin to realise that this is only the start of an experience you will never forget.

Accommodation here is, as you would expect, outstanding… with each of the spacious bedrooms exuding it's own unique character and charm - and this is supplemented by tastefully designed private bathrooms, with bath and shower, television and tea and coffee making facilities. Tulloch Castle offers twenty such rooms all with sumptuous surroundings, elegant furnishings and some with stunning views over Dingwall to the haunting Black Isle.

In days of old, only the Laird or the Chief of the Clan could enjoy a relaxing stay in a Scottish highland castle. Nowadays, times have changed. At Tulloch Castle you will be made as welcome as the Laird himself, to sample the splendid hospitality, comfortable surroundings and superb food. You will be welcomed to dine in the Turrets Restaurant where only the best Highland produce is freshly prepared for you by the hotel’s team of highly experienced and deliciously creative chefs. After dinner, you can then round off a perfect evening by relaxing in front of a roaring log fire with a fine Scottish Malt from the vast selection in the Green Lady Bar.

Tulloch Castle is an ideal base for visiting the many attractions of the Scottish Highlands. No one who travels here can fail to be struck by a sense of being somewhere different. The sheer atmosphere of these northlands makes a big impression… sheltered by the mountains to the west, the Black Isle, Mid Ross and Easter Ross present a greener aspect of the Highlands.

While staying here you will have the opportunity to visit the dazzling Cairngorm mountain range, the eerie Battlefield at Culloden, perhaps a spot of monster hunting at Loch Ness or you may simply wish to observe the seals and dolphins in the nearby Cromarty Firth.

Whether it’s the enjoyment of a fine meal in the castle restaurant, the luxury and charm of the castle bedchambers, or the relaxation and taste of a splendid Malt in the Green Lady Lounge, you will find Tulloch Castle an unforgettable place to visit. And these days, you don't have to storm the castle ramparts first!
