Blanch House opened in September 2000 and offers guests a perfect combination of excellent service, innovative design and a quite unique laid back atmosphere.
Owned by husband and wife, Chris and Amanda, pet friendly Blanch House is located in a discreet Georgian terrace, just off Brighton's seafront. A Grade II listed building, the hotel offers twelve en-suite rooms, together with a 70's lounge-chic cocktail bar, and a fabulous in-house restaurant.
Each of the uniquely styled bedrooms are en-suite with Trevi power showers and Molton Brown toiletries. the rooms also include: Fogarty goose and duck down duvets and pillows, Relyon beds, hairdryers, telephones, flat screen TVs and DVD players.
The elegance continues through to the hotel’s restaurant, where white leather banquet seating and simple walnut tables create the perfect backdrop for food which rightly takes centre stage. Local art hangs on the wall and is changed every six weeks to give you a different feeling in the room every time you visit. The restaurant truly is a wonderful extension of the ethos demonstrated elsewhere in the hotel and all involved are dedicated to excellence in food, service and wines but with no pretensions. You can sit back and take pleasure in the relaxed atmosphere of dinner at your best friend’s house while enjoying innovative food, attentive and personal service, and superb wine and cocktail lists.
The menu changes with the seasons and availability to ensure that only the freshest high quality produce is used, meat, dairy products and other ingredients are locally sourced and organic where possible. Fish is from the local day boats when available.
The bar at Blanch House reflects the quality of the hotel and restaurant, to the extent that it was one of the four finalists for Best Bar in Britain at the Class awards (the Bartenders Bible), winners of Best Bar Team as well as winner of Best Cocktail Offering in the UK and Best Customer Service in the UK the bar is open to the public and open later for the hotel residents.
